I have been haunting the Internets for the past week trying to get a #SamsungWatch for Tracey for Christmas. I couldn’t find one anywhere that would deliver by Christmas. And I wasn’t exactly sure which model she wanted. I had a pretty good idea and was willing to take the chance if I could get it under the Christmas tree.
I finally told Tracey I couldn’t find one and that she wouldn’t be getting one for Christmas. About an hour later she asked me if I had looked on Amazon.com and I said I had just a few hours earlier and they didn’t have one in stock. She turned her iPad around and showed me they did indeed have them in stock now. Talk about your mixed feelings! I’m glad she will get it by Christmas but now I wish I had waited just a bit longer and kept looking. Oh Well.

Tracey got home from Davenport a bit early last evening and she crashed on the couch for a short nap. I grabbed a blanket and did the same in my recliner.
Around 6 p.m. we decided to get some pizza for supper and Tracey called our order in to #Avanti in Pekin. I didn’t realize until I went slip-sliding out to the garage that the freezing drizzle and rain had already commenced. A white knuckle drive to Pekin and back took about twice as long as usual.
Fortunately the salt trucks had already made at least one pass on the roads but I was sure glad to get home in one piece.

When I first read an article about the Chinese snatching a US oceanographic drone I thought the “appropriate” solution (if I were in charge) would be to have installed a large prominent display which began a clearly visible countdown to zero. Followed by an appropriate response. Like a large BOOM!
