I received another “Roanoke Legel in past news” update from my friend Jeff. He found this in the Woodford County Journal.

Today is Tracey’s last day of vacation for the Christmas / New Year season. I’m sure it will be a rude awakening tomorrow when she has to get up before dawn again. It has been a good week.


I spent about an hour in the Prompt Care in Morton to get a script for some antibiotics. I also got a tube of antibiotic gel to put on the infected finger too. Hopefully this thing will heal up now.

When first read the news about the Russians hacking the electric grid (again) I immediately suspected this was another exaggeration of the facts.

So I spent some time looking into this claim and found a lot of conflicting information and even more outright fabrications. Then I saw the reports on the evening MSNBC news and realized this was a prime example of “fake news” foisted by mainstream media.

To date I have seen no retractions now that we know most of this “sky is falling” alarm was completely false.

I realize the primaries and resulting disastrous general election are water over the dam and under the bridge —— but I just now tripped over this very good synopsis of the “Nate Silver” phenomena. I was told repeatedly for weeks and weeks by Hillarity supporters that I was full of BS because “Nate Silver” had already decided Hillarity would win. #NateSilver

Guess what? I realize hindsight is 20/20 but I also think it is important to PAY ATTENTION to it. Remember this the next time some pundit tells us what the future holds.
