We had our water softener replaced years ago and part of the deal was they would deliver the salt on a regular basis. So for a few bucks extra I don’t have to lug the 50 lb. bags of salt to the basement and dump them into the hopper.
Yesterday was salt delivery day and he usually arrives around 9 a.m. It was after four in the afternoon before he arrived. You wouldn’t think something like that would be a big deal but it seemed to mess up my whole day. I could have left the house and he would have left it at our door. But then I would have to haul it to the basement.
I guess lazy won the day.

I received a letter and an email from the Illinois IRS yesterday. Both stated *my* income tax return *errors* had been corrected and I would finally receive my refund. I didn’t make any errors, their stupid web form did, and I was tempted to reply with an explanation of that difference. But why bother?
I should just be happy I got my money back even if it was two months late? I mean —— they wouldn’t mind if I didn’t pay them what I owed for two months? Right?
