#Memories I recently saw a Gulf oil sign and had an immediate flood of memories. Not that it really had anything to do with Gulf in particular but more so about the way something triggers an old memory. A very old memory.
The first thing I thought about was a bright orange styrofoam Gulf ball my Dad put on the radio antenna or our old Rambler station wagon. Our car was always easy to find in a parking lot.
The second memory was from a road trip somewhere. We were in that same old station wagon when Dad pulled into a Gulf station and had them fill up the gas tank. Dad handed the pump jockey his Gulf credit card and the guy said they werent a Gulf station anymore and the card wouldnt work. Dad pointed at the big orange sign and said something about it being false advertising and he had no money. So just figure out how to drain that gas back out of his tank. They worked it out after a trip down the street to a local bank, but Dad was some mad about that ordeal and we heard about it for the rest of the drive.

Tracey and her sister Sandy survived the charity walk yesterday and spent the morning shopping. Sandy left to return home around 1 p.m. and Tracey had to take a nap to recuperate.
I spent the morning on the mower.
