We needed a few things from the store the other day so I dropped Tracey off at the door and parked the car in a nearby space to wait for her to come out. I enjoy watching people coming and going from the store. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some slow and some in a hurry.
A car pulled up not far away and an elderly lady got out on the driver side and a young girl of about 8 to 10 got out of the passenger door. The girl stood on the verge of traffic waiting and the older woman came around the car and grabbed the girl by the arm just above the elbow and began to speak earnestly to her; giving her a little shake and wagging her finger while she spoke. Then she firmly gripped the girls hand, turned and stepped right out in front of a truck.
The girl yelled something and yanked the woman back out of the way.
I sense there was a good deal of irony in this near mishap.
People are different and are interesting to watch.
