I see more and more of this type of backward thinking when I read about computer problems, viruses, ransomware, etc. Blame the victim for not “upgrading” their software instead of blaming the people who write the buggy software in the first place.
It makes as much sense as telling people who own cars with faulty airbags they are criminals if they do not go out and buy a new car instead of making the car maker repair the faulty cars.
Microsoft isn’t being held accountable for not testing and perfecting their crap software and that is ridiculous. Microsoft is the menace to society.

I didn’t argue with her much because I thought she was spewing Fox News talking points word for word, but I was really appalled a doctor would be telling a patient this absolutely crazy bullshit.
