#TheBigMove
We were out house hunting for most of the afternoon yesterday and then spent more time on the Internet looking stuff up when we got home. I didn’t get much computer or Blog time at all yesterday but it was refreshing to do something new for a change.

The real estate market is awfully expensive and we are either going to have to lower our expectations or figure on spending a lot more money. We looked at houses in Marquette Hgts. that were built in the 50s and they are asking $100,000 for small houses with no basement, one bath and a tiny kitchen. Very disconcerting.

I was also disappointed that realtors at these open houses have so very little knowledge about the homes. I asked one fellow about the electric service and he didn’t even know if it had 220v service, what the total amps of the service were or if it had breakers or fuses. This may seem a silly question but some of those old houses still run off fuse boxes with 60 amp service.
