We happened upon a segment of the Chris Hayes show just before bed last night. Just for a few minutes as the TV happened to be on that channel. Chris was lamenting to his panel of bobble-heads that the confirmation hearing is a complete and utter farce. (Or words to that effect) They all looked gravely at each other and bobbled.
It is clear to everyone in America who is paying attention, on all sides of the political spectrum, we are aware of the insanity that is unfolding before our very eyes and we feel powerless to stop it.

Then a few minutes of Rachel Maddow. Her “guest” sincerely asks the question, (Again a paraphrase) “If you absolutely know that the President is off the rails and should be removed from office, to whom would you turn to try to protect our country?”
And again, the whole country looks at each other and bobbles their heads.
