#BreakfastAlan Yesterday I went to breakfast with my brother at Jack’s in Tremont. We talked a little about the wet weather and quite a lot about the Repuglican corruption of our government. Alan mentioned he had watched some of the kangaroo confirmation process unfolding in the swamp of Congress. It is just ridiculous that this farce is even televised as if it is some normal process. Democracy is dead in America.

I saw a couple comments on social media accusing the protesters at this farce were being paid $50 and free breakfast. I replied it seemed fair to me since the politicians are being paid millions by corporations like the NRA to make sure this asshole becomes a Supreme.

#AmberGuyger This sentence has become too commonplace. After reading the headline my thought was the officer should have been arrested and charged with murder.
The officer was not immediately identified, and was being placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
Instead she gets a paid vacation without any arrest or charges while her fellow cops try to find a way to mitigate the murder she committed.

Update: 09/07/2020 Eventually the Dallas officer is charged, tried, convicted and jailed. She received a ten year sentence and will probably be out on parole in five years or less. Unless there is an extrajudicial prison intervention.
