I sent an email to the realtor at around 10 a.m. yesterday asking for any word on his progress. We hadn’t heard from him since last Tuesday, almost an entire week. I got an email receipt that he had read my email within a few minutes but he didn’t bother to answer it until late last evening.
He’s still working on it. He says, “I had to finish a couple CMAs that were ahead of you.” So we get no answer except we have to wait until he gets done with other people before he can get to us. It took him 7 days to give us this information. He can’t even be bothered to get enough information to sign a contract to list it.
We have a new realtor as of today. I’m meeting him at the house this afternoon and I sure hope he isn’t too busy.

I spent a couple hours working on a search engine for the Blog. (Time I probably shoulda spent on something more productive. )
It isn’t ready to unveil yet but I’m making progress. Now and then I wonder what may have been said about a topic on the Blog and soon I hope to be able to search for it.

Yes. He referred us to a loan person at a local bank when we were originally house hunting. We were at an open house in a trailer he had listed but we bought a different one. I was impressed with his willingness to help us even though we weren’t interested in the trailer he was selling.
I’m a little surprised he hasn’t been more prompt at working to get our business but I don’t want to work with someone who is so slow to even acknowledge a phone call or email. If he is this slow before he even signs a contract to get our business I can only presume he will be as slow or slower once we are locked in.
My research indicates that home sales peaked about a month ago and drop off drastically after Thanksgiving so time is a factor I stressed with him. I would really like to avoid heating that house all winter.

Also, on the realtor issue, it’s not that I am angry. I appreciate his honesty in telling us the reason for the delay. He is too busy. I get that. I’m just not willing to wait on him if he is too busy. Actually it is better he told us truthfully why he didn’t get back to us.
So I applaud his honesty, I just don’t appreciate it enough to wait while he works to sell houses for other people first.
