I met with our new realtor yesterday afternoon. He brought some listings to compare with our house so we could determine a reasonable price to list it at. It is a balancing act between what the place might appraise for, what is low enough it won’t drive buyers away, and yet high enough to get the best price we can.

Tracey and I discussed it some last evening and we decided to sign the papers tomorrow morning. We will open the listing at $174,000.

I really think the place is worth more than that —— but I suppose it is natural to think that about a place you’ve lived in for almost 30 years. We put a lot of work into the place over those years.

I think this toon sums up my thinking about the farce surrounding the nominating process of a new Supreme. I realize there is a good deal of disinformation on both sides of the issue, but when you get right down to it the argument isn’t about how good he is but rather if he is too bad.
