I spent a good deal of time on the phone yesterday morning. I started with the home warranty people. Our realtor convinced us to purchase a home warranty policy as an incentive for buyers. It also covers the house before it is sold so we have coverage for the repairs to the septic tank. We should only have to pay $75. (On top of the high price of the policy)

English isn’t the first language of the person who answered the phone. (Of Course) After being swapped around and put on hold a couple times I was able to decipher that we have coverage but couldn’t make a claim until today. (Has to be thirty days after policy purchase)

Also they will choose and schedule the contractor to make the repairs. I will be on the phone again this morning to get that sorted out. My only concern is that the work is supposed to be done by Nov. 14th and that may be not be enough time.

I also spoke with the people who inspected the well. We have to get the well cap replaced, new conduit to the well and the well cleaned up as there is some bacteria in it. (Again. Of course. What well doesn’t?)

The last person on the list of calls was to the realtor who is filling in for our realtor. Our realtor is in Hawaii on a 2nd honeymoon.

I’m beginning to feel like I’m doing more work on selling the place than he is. Anyway, the fill in realtor was helpful in getting me informed on all the requirements. We have to sign an amendment agreeing to satisfy the inspection extortion. And another agreeing to sell the buyers our mower and trailer. (Another problem solved and a bit more income)

I am very sick of the continued division by this asshole. I can’t imagine why anybody supports this insanity. It must be all consuming to have such deeply held racist views about immigrants.

During my daily review of the Blog (I try to check back each year for each day) I noticed that on this day in 2006 Michael T. and I shared breakfast in honor of his retirement. My how time flies!
