The #KitchenRemodel is finally done. Hopefully we won’t see any more of Joe and crew ever again. There are a number of things we have fixed along the way and a few more to go, but the bulk of the work is done.

Tracey started cleaning all the sawdust and debris they left all over the counters and in every draw and cabinet. They didn’t clean up any of that. We also still need to put all the outlet and switch covers back on. I don’t even know why they took those off.

I went to the eye doctor in the late afternoon. She is concerned that there is too much pressure in my eyeballs and that I might be developing glaucoma. My eyes were dilated and I had a bunch of eye tests. The results are that my peripheral vision is Okay and I have some marginal problems with my left eye.

She wants me back in six months to see if there are any changes 1 way or the other before deciding on any treatment.


There was a voicemail demanding I call the Tremont medical clinic. I called to find out it was about the continued fiasco with my Metformin prescription that was screwed up last August. I had to wait on hold twice before “The Nurse” had time to talk to me.

She started out telling me the doctor “requires” that I make an appointment, when will I come in?

I replied that I don’t take orders from her or the doctor and I would be back in August. I only require I go once a year.

She kept interrupting me with her lectures about being “past due”, their responsibility for my health, etc. I disconnected the call.

There is no point in arguing with ignorant people. Had she bothered to listen to me or if they bothered to take notes —— I already have TOO MUCH Metformin because they ordered it wrong back in August and then screwed up the correction. She thought I needed more and was trying to blackmail me into coming in to “see the doctor” before they could prescribe more.

I don’t need to see the doctor, I have seen him and merely seeing him has not improved my health or blood pressure.

And I don’t need MORE of the drug, I need LESS.

I don’t know why I bothered to call them back in the first place.
It never ends well.
