I can vividly remember watching this first nationally recognized “police riot”. I was totally disgusted and my Dad was rooting for the #RiotingPolice. I think this may have turned the tide in my thoughts about my father. Mayor Richard Daley would go on to ever greater infamy and I always felt anger at Dad’s support of the criminal.

Tracey had purchased some new knobs for our closets and decided yesterday was the day to install them. The screws that came with the new knobs were too short and the screws that had been used in the old knobs had been over-tightened and “boogered” up as Tracey put it.

We went to the #AceHardware and a young lad selected four screws that should fit. Tracey should have checked because they did NOT fit. They were a size too small. (We did get some donuts on the way home so the trip wasn’t completely wasted.)

We went back to Ace and got the right screws (I tried to get her to go to Culver’s for ice cream on the way home from this trip but she refused.) Tracey installed the knobs without further incident.

Ten years ago today I started injecting #Insulin for Type 2 Diabetes. Almost surprised I am still alive.
