I got the bill for my latest encounter with the Medical Mafia. The initial numbers were well over $1,000 for labs and a 15 minute teleconference with the quack.

Since I haven’t paid out my deductible I ended paying $472 of that. And I have what is supposed to be *good* insurance.

And the numbers above don’t count the huge monthly premium we pay. Unless one of us ends up in the hospital the costs of our premiums, deductibles and co-pays will far exceed the benefit.

I particularly like the comment that I am a “robust gentleman with a full beard”. Because that is so medically relevant.

Also: The 22 minutes counts the time spent answering questions from the nurse before the doctor arrived. Altogether sat on the phone for just a bit more than an hour. Spent less than 15 minutes with doctor.
