I think I need to clarify. I understand political cartoons, jokes, sarcasm and plenty of news articles are opinions and biased. Those are up to the reader to think critically about and make a judgement. Not what I have in mind. Photoshopped pictures, emails hating on whoever, (Clintons, Obama, Pelosi, etc.), being forwarded, emails with false information intentionally being spread this is the type of BS I’m talking about.
My brother and I used to go round and round about this. He, along with other right wing religious bigots used to send me all manner of BS that was easily disproved by a visit to Snopes. I called him on it everytime, sending him/them links to Snopes articles or other fact checking sites. Finally one day he says to me, “I know they are untrue, do you really think I am that stupid, they make the point I want to make so it doesn’t matter to me if they are false.” I find that line of thinking unconscionable for someone professing their Christianity, and those type emails ALWAYS came from professing Christians.
I found a progressive, inclusive church and most of the Christians, (still some leftovers, family and ‘friends’, in my circle now wouldn’t think of forwarding any of that vile crap.
Different opinions or viewpoints, while they can be based on BS, are just that, opinions and personal view. If they use fabricated evidence, I call that out, and you do as well, on many of the political cartoons and tweets.

I don’t think we are really out of tune with each other. My problem is I often don’t realize something has been shopped until I get complaints. Whether I take it down or explain it depends on my mood I guess. I tend to remain derogatory about Twitler if I think it COULD or SHOULD be true. I admit I am totally biased and it is totally obvious.

There have been some problems with my links in the left column since the server “upgrade”. I was using the minute and seconds as the anchor to the link but now their server is often a couple seconds different between the time posted and time stamped. (No idea what they did.)
I will be experimenting with this so there may be some dead links until I figure it out.
