I’ve been retired from CAT almost twenty years now, but scorching hot days like we are having now always remind me of the unrelenting horror of working in a factory full of hot machines radiating heat on a second shift afternoon. My clothes would be soaked with perspiration and socks squishy with it too. I would literally stagger home at the end of the day and completely dread going back in again the next day.

I remember and I feel for anyone living through that now.
