Since the Blog wasn’t working (again), I thought I would type a running narrative of the current Blog server fiasco.

Tues. morning (4/25)
I was up around 3 a.m. and was making a few changes to the server files. Around 3:30 the screen changed to the Account Suspended page that has been displayed for the past few days. I immediately called Turbify tech support. A pleasant-sounding young woman with a heavy far-east accent tried to explain to me that all was well, and the Support Team was aware of MY problem and was working on it. She couldn’t (or wouldn’t) give me any more details than that. She said my account was active and had only been “suspended for repairs”. No specifics about what was being repaired or why.

I called again later that night and another heavily accented person who responded almost word-for-word with the same platitudes. I did find out this is the same Case number I originally got from them a week ago when this fiasco started.

I couldn’t log into the file server, the ftp server or the PHP database server. There was no way to leave a message to anybody on the Blog about what was (or wasn’t) happening. All you could see on the Internet for my domain was the Account Suspended page.

Wed. (4/26) 8 p.m.
I called tech support and after I gave the foreign gal who answered the case number, she told me since I’ve called numerous times, I already know the answer to my question. Not only is the customer not right, the mouthy little witch has the gall to rub it in. I think things might be a bit different in her corner of the world. I considered asking for a supervisor, but why bother. So I will call again tomorrow and risk the wrath of little tyrants.

Rinse and repeat until they finally got around to returning my account access. Still don’t know why or how they screwed this up. In the last couple days before they finally returned access, I got rather heated —— demanding to speak to a supervisor, etc. That never happened.
