Today, on the anniversary of the creation of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in 1914, the FTC and 17 state attorneys general sued Amazon for using “a set of interlocking anticompetitive and unfair strategies to maintain its monopoly power.” The FTC and the suing states say “Amazon’s actions allow it to stop rivals and sellers from lowering prices, degrade quality for shoppers, overcharge sellers, stifle innovation, and prevent rivals from fairly competing against Amazon.”
I had my annual “Wellness Check” yesterday. They cudgeled, threatened and harassed me for months trying to get me in sooner and I refused. It boggles the mind how they herd sick people together with everyone else being checked for “wellness”. If you weren’t sick when you went you might be when you leave. I was told to make an appointment for six months before I left the office and I passive-aggressively told them I would later. Not going to. Once a year is too often as far as I am concerned.
