#Scouting I dont remember very many details from my short time as a Cub Scout. There was one memento of a Mothers Day gift made from a white plastic Ivory dish soap bottle. We cut the top off and wrote Mothers Day on the side with glue then sprinkled glitter into the glue. Mrs. Sims put a few plastic flowers in it. It held pride of place on shelves over the years until we cleaned the trailer out when Mom passed away. I wish I had kept it.
Another was a failed scavenger hunt. We went door-to-door seeking odd items on a list and people werent too thrilled about us knocking on their door. The only item on the list I remember was a burned-out light bulb. I can remember wondering who would keep such a thing? I suppose it was the rare item on the list and nobody got one.
I vaguely remember other activities involving modeling clay, crayons, and reading Scout related literature. Mostly just fond memories of a bunch of young boys together.

The stunning rebirth of the American labor movement.
Robert said: And the possibility that Americas working class will return to the fold of the Democratic Party, where it belongs.
Maybe the Dimocrat Party will return to the working class where it belongs, but I will not be holding my breath.
The really disgusting part is that Robert Reich was part of the administration that began the move away from the working class and began pursuing the corporate donors.
If the Dimocrat Party will return to representing the working class they will likely get their votes, but again, not holding my breath, they have sold out to the corporate interests as did our Union leaders. Seems some our Union leaders may have made the turnaround, see Shawn Fein.

I agree with every word, especially the hypocrisy of Reich. Also am impressed with Shaw Fein. Hope he survives.

And, Joe may be the most pro union president in sixty years but he damn sure isnt the most pro union candidate in that time. If he is so pro union why didnt he allow the Railroad workers to fight for a good contract?!
