Happy New Year!
I made it past 9 p.m. last night but just barely. It has been many (many) years since I’ve stayed up to see the New Year in, mainly because I no longer see it as a reason to get boozed up and regret it New Year’s Day.

I really hope we all have a good year and I’m trying to ignore the political pessimism that seems to haunt the country today.
