In 1940, exiled Communist revolutionary Leon Trotsky (Lev Davidovich Bronstein) was assassinated in Coyoacan, Mexico by Ramon Mercader, a Spanish Communist agent working at the behest of Josef Stalin. (Trotsky died the next day.) #LeonTrotsky
