The Twitler administration has informed U.S. Agency for International Development employees that it was firing 2,000 workers and putting most direct-hire personnel on administrative leave, according to reports. Twitler appointees in charge of USAID announced the mass layoffs in a Sunday afternoon email to staff, which was obtained by CNN, The New York Times and The Hill. The email states all USAID direct-hire personnel will be placed on administrative leave “with the exception of designated personnel responsible for mission-critical functions, core leadership and/or specially designated programs”. |
