SEA LIFE Carlsbad displays Beach Trash, A Whale of a Problem, a 26-foot-long mosaic made entirely out of trash from local beaches. Six first grade classes from Jefferson Elementary in Carlsbad, CA, worked with environmental artist Teresa Espaniola to turn trash into a life sized gray whale -- all while learning about the ocean and the role they play in saving our seas. The whale is on display at SEA LIFE until mid-April when it migrates to a new home. |
