Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates arrives for a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee in Washington, DC, on Wednesday. Gates was set to face questioning from US lawmakers over his relationship with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was murdered died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving underage girls. Gates has denied any wrongdoing. Gates said he had no knowledge of Epsteins crimes and that Epstein attempted to use information about his personal life including that he had been unfaithful in his marriage to pressure him, according to a copy of his opening remarks obtained by CNN. |
