A replica of the the famous staircase onboard the RMS Titanic is on display in the new $157 million RMS Titanic Belfast Visitors Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland. RMS Titanic, the worlds largest, most luxurious ocean liner, left this spot on April 2nd, 1912, on its maiden voyage from England to New York. Twelve days later, it struck an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland and sank. More than 1,500 of the 2,200 people on board died. |
