Tens of thousands of people demonstrators take part in a protest against same-sex marriage in Paris. The protest, organized by the far right National Front party, denounced government plans to legalize same-sex marriage and adoption, which have angered many Catholics and Muslims, France’s two main faiths, as well as the right-wing opposition. The French parliament is to debate the bill - one of the key electoral pledges of Socialist President Francois Hollande - at the end of this month. |
