Over 70 years after the end of World War Two, there is still widespread resentment across China toward Japan and its wartime actions. It is estimated that hundreds of films and television productions depicting China’s victory over Japan in 1945 are produced on the mainland every year and the genre remains one of the country’s most popular entertainment draws. |
