Field Museum, Chicago, IL
The following photos were taken November 10, 2006 at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois
Notice the skull in one hand and the Ankh in the other
Michael Legel and sister Denise at the entrance. Tracey Legel taking pictures.
This picture and the next are of a very large prehistoric fish. It is actually about the size of a Lazy-boy chair so one can imagine how big the whole thing might have been!
This explains the origins of the Tulley Monster fossil and the next picture is of the actual fossil and a model of it.
This is a fossil of a lizard looking creature with feathered wings. The wings and feathers are hard to see because of the white background and the flash glare.
These are the only fossils of Lucy the famed hominid that is regarded as a link to modern man. I think they extrapolate an awful lot from such little evidence.
The skeleton on the right next to the mammoth is actually an Irish Elk ... I kept calling it a moose, but Tracey kept correcting me. Doesn’t it look like moose antlers?
Who does this remind you of? It looks to me like the model Michael Jackson used for his new face! Maybe he wants to look like a 3,000 year old mummy?
The next two photos are of insects trapped in amber
