OK Michael I think I figured it out. You entered more than 77 characters in a row without a space, so it added a space to trigger a line break. The space fell within the color off tag. So the color aqua remained constant until the next color off tag was presented. I discovered this would happen for any tag not turned off ... so I have a line of code just after the compile routine to shut color, bold, italics, etc. off. At least I hope I have them all off!

Thats OK ... Ill share mine with you as much as you want! Thanks again for finding my errors. You and Tracey are my best troubleshooters. I always ask her to try out anything new as far as programs or macros. She can instinctively find the flaws!

Really! How does that work? [ u]text will be underlined |

Michael, if you will look at the example of how to underline text the stop underlining command you have in the example is actually a stop bold command. It does work but I think that is because you have scripted all open commands to self-close?

Thank You! I actually had the coding right and then made a typo on the instructions ... duh! Once again you make an excellent code inspector! I think I have it right now.
