Zero Tolerance

We are fast becoming a zero tolerance society. We allow others to concoct the most ridiculous rules that are supposed to be fair to everyone when all they really are is a way for those people to avoid any responsibility for making common sense decisions.

Everyone knows a nail clipper is not a weapon. An aspirin is not a drug to be considered dangerous. Grounding an entire airplane full of people over a cell phone is insane.

I could go on and on about the ridiculous intolerance our society has developed against common sense. And they fire back, “Oh yeah! Well common sense is not all that common!”

Oh really. Who do you know that would be afraid of a nail clipper wielding school kid?

Would you consider a cough drop to be a black market drug - or a “medication”?

When was the last time an airplane fell out of the sky because somebody was talking on a cell phone? And if airplanes are that susceptible to radio interference - should we be flying in them at all?

Americans are becoming more intolerant to the silliest things. We don’t question why there are parking lots at pubs and bars but we have a conniption fit over someone talking on a cell phone?

Kids are shooting each other in the streets but they dare not have a nail clipper in their pocket?

I can think of several things we OUGHT to be more intolerant of - such as lying Presidents, cops who shoot to death 92 year old women, etc.
