Global Economy Nonsense

I still don’t get why there is so much emphasis on pleasing the foreign countries of the world. I understand one should be respectful of the neighbors but I could care less about their financial situation and see no reason to sell myself short in the spirit of cooperation.

I simply can’t imagine why we don’t pass trade laws that protect our country the best we can. We seem to go out of our way to sell our jobs short, endanger our food chain and risk our ability to defend ourselves.

I’m not sure this country could even build a military ship, tank, or airplane if access to foreign parts were denied. I am not the least fond of this global economy nonsense and I am further disgusted that almost none of our “representatives” can see the harm it is doing our country.
