Wigged Out!?

The more I looked at him the more convinced I was that he was wearing a wig. I wasn’t completely convinced because it wasn’t one of those shabby pieces that sit lopsided or had obvious hair color mismatch. Neither could I see the dark shadow that usually shows the outline where it meets the skin, but I was still rather sure it was a hairpiece.

I have always been curious about the particular vanity that must go with wearing a wig. I should think all of his family and closest acquaintances would know it was a wig. This would leave only the strangers impressed with the “youthful” appearance provided by fake hair.

Further, should he already have a mate or close relationship they would know of his lack of hair beneath the crown he wears —— and if he were single —— wouldn’t there be that awkward moment should new relations prove serious and the new love of his life should learn of this deception? Interesting, intriguing, etc.

I must admit I thought about using Rogaine for about a minute once upon a time, then decided it was a waste of money and vanity. I don’t think I could ever bring myself to wear a wig.
