I called every morning to listen to the non-stop nonsense from these people. The so-called “techs” that I spoke with (with the exception of the last guy who got it fixed) were quick to try and lay the blame on me but couldn’t provide any specifics as to why they thought my code was crashing their system. It wasn’t, it isn’t and it doesn’t.

The dolt I spoke with Saturday even went so far as to say because my site hadn’t crashed for two years —— “It was due to crash because these things eventually happen.” Now there is some real logic. Doh!

All of them got all aloof with me when they found out I wasn’t a “database administrator” or some other trumped up inexperienced title holder.

The last guy I talked to, which was yesterday morning, immediately said this should have been fixed by Saturday morning and that he was going to escalate the status and notify management that the engineer who signed off on it Saturday hadn’t fixed it when he was supposed to. It was fixed within a couple hours.

I still have no idea why the site crashed and I am beginning to doubt they do either or they wouldn’t be trying to blame if off on me without any evidence to support the blame. I can understand the statement “These things happen”. But I don’t go along with just letting them continue to happen without finding out why. We shall see if it will get past another week without crashing again. Thank you for your patience!
