Tracey called #AmericanAirlines again today trying to get refunds for two flights during the Florida trip. She had also called two weeks ago and got a runaround then too. Their flights to and from Key West to Miami and back had been canceled and they were forced to rent a car. Now the asshole airline refuses to refund the money paid for the flights CANCELED BY THEM.

#IfOnlyWeHadAGovernment and didn’t have #EmptySuitPete.

The #AmericanAirlines saga continues. Tracey filled out all the refund nonsense on their web site and waited 24 hours for results. The result is “record not found”. She called again today and was told to go to yet another web page to fill out a “refund complaint” form. Remember this any time somebody brags about #EmptySuitPete Buttjudge being some kind of wonderful public servant. Maybe he could write another stern letter.

After weeks of phone calls, emails and web submissions, Tracey finally got confirmation of a refund for the cancelled Florida flights from June.

Of course we haven’t actually got any money back yet (allow seven business days) but at least this is the first positive news. Interesting that they GET the money within seconds of the transaction but it takes well over a month to get a refund.
