I deposited our “Stimulus Check” yesterday and it will all go to the roofers and then some. On the bright side I stopped at a place called #ChicagoHut in Pekin and had a gyro for lunch. Good Stuff!

The sign just happened to catch my eye and I dimly remembered something about this place and gyros —— so I stopped. I was really surprised at how good it was and how much they served me. I was so full I had to take a nap as soon as I got home!

Tracey stopped at #ChicagoHut to pick up some supper but when she got home we discovered they didn’t fill the order properly. I didn’t get my gyro. Tracey was kind enough to share but it was an aggravation. We always tell ourselves we should check to see if it is right and it never fails we get cheated when we don’t. Why don’t they ever give you too much?

One thing I forgot to mention earlier —— Tracey and I stopped at #Avanti for supper on the way home after I picked her up from work. They screwed up my order (there seems to be a recurring theme here?) but they made it right AND took my entire meal off the bill. So we got a free meal at both #RubyTuesday’s and Avanti over the past few weeks, but didn’t get a meal at all from #ChicagoHut. Is it just us? Does everyone have this much trouble with food orders?

We went to #SteaknShake for lunch and I dropped her off at work. I went to #ChicagoHut on my way home to pick up a couple gyros for my supper.

I can’t eat those around Tracey because she says the smell makes her feel sick. She used to love them but we had gyros for supper the day Noah was born and the cucumber sauce and child labor didn’t agree.
