Tracey had to go visit her clinic after we left Mom’s. She finally arrived back home after 9 p.m. and she was really upset. They removed one of her sinks in this ridiculous remodeling project and they didn’t replace it.

She had been worried about this all along and now her worst fear has come to pass —— they removed this sink after they assured her they wouldn’t.

I told her to call her boss last night and raise hell about it, but Tracey doesn’t like to do things like that.

Tracey is still very upset about the so-called remodeling project at work. It certainly won’t help her or her co-workers. She is hoping to get things set right before the workers are all done, but it doesn’t look good so far.

The people making the decisions are more concerned with budget and how nice it looks. They don’t want to be bothered by anyone who actually knows what they are doing or by anything so mundane as the actual function of a dialysis clinic. Corporate America at its worst.

Tracey was still in a somewhat grumpy mood when she returned home from work last evening. I don’t blame her.

She said her boss told her to take bids on getting the missing sink replaced. Who knows how long they will have to “make do” before this gets made right again. Stupid. Just plain stupid lack of good sense from her boss and all the others who were in charge of this #ClinicRemodel insanity.

Tracey got to take a tour of the new #ClinicRemodel to see the progress of the construction work. She made a few suggestions to make changes for it to be more efficient.

The people drawing the plans and making the decisions never consult her or anyone else who might know how a dialysis clinic is actually run. They have a lot of ideas about how they think things should be done and often they are clueless about how things are actually done. Etc.

Unfortunately there are policies and codes required by Medicare, the Public Health dept. etc. that have to be observed regardless of how useless or ridiculous they may be.
