They say what comes around, goes around. We had evidence of that last evening when Noah came home and told us about his trip to the Civic Center in Peoria to see #GeorgeCarlin. I could never have imagined thirty years ago (or more) when I was camped out in front of the TV in my bean bag chair with a bottle of Boone’s Farm that one day my son would share the same irreverent humor from George. Noah was one of the few who laughed at the Duh-bya or Shamely jokes, but otherwise Carlin is still a hit in Peoria.

I just read #GeorgeCarlin died of heart failure at age 71. What a shame. He was one of a few comedians I really enjoyed. Although he was profane at times, he was able to make people laugh without profanity in EVERY joke. I loved his wry and always on target view of America and our foibles. Bye George.

Carlin, 71, whose staunch defense of free speech in his most famous routine ‘Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television’ led to a key Supreme Court ruling on obscenity, died Sunday June 22^nd, 2008. He went into St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday complaining of chest pain and died later that evening, said his publicist, Jeff Abraham.
