I’ve been following the hoopla about failed author #HarperLee and this suddenly newly discovered “lost manuscript”. As I pointed out back in 2007 this tripe was seen as unfit for publication when it was submitted and now suddenly people think it is a masterpiece. At least until they read it. Now the critics are beginning to put together what was readily known if anyone had bothered to research it. Harper Lee was a lousy writer and the book was actually made readable by the editor #TayHohoff.

Posted this elsewhere and was reminded I criticized that the
real author was the editor. I think the book was authentically
interesting and made many points regarding the era, it’s just
that the wrong person got the most credit for writing it.
