This little cartoon reminds me quite a lot of part of our after dinner conversation last evening. DD is still sparing with management and HR at her job. I suspect workers everywhere have this attitude about the role of #HumanResources. Speaking of which, the Cracked Barrel could use some decent HR people because the place was terribly SLOW. They seem to have a large number of new trainees.

Exactly how I approached labor meetings with #Caterpillar #HumanResources and building managers. They laughed the first time I interrupted the HR guy and told them I would be running the meeting. I got up and told them there would be NO MEETING were it not for the labor contract and I would return when they acknowledged that. It took two meetings. Thereafter, I would dismiss any manager who started lecturing me about my attitude, behavior or point of view. Equal footing or none at all. Fewer and fewer managers were interested in meetings if they couldn’t grandstand or ridicule. MjL
