In 1884, the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, a novel written by Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), was published. #MarkTwain This and Tom Sawyer were the first Mark Twain books I read. I can remember thinking the language and racism were a bit shocking. Dad said it was probably pretty mild compared to reality.
