In 1948, Indian political and spiritual leader Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, 78, was shot and killed in New Delhi by Nathuram Vinayak Godse, a Hindu extremist. (Godse and a co-conspirator were later executed.) #MahatmaGandhi #NathuramGodse
