#2 Click this link to see Blog page --> 10/05/2024 I occasionally fall down a TikTok or YouTube tunnel and waste too much time watching silly videos. I’m not overly impressed with the “auditors” who video public places so they can aggravate people and create lawsuits, but sometimes they make an interesting point.
A video begins with a cop approaching a guy and demanding he take his hands out of his pockets. He tells her “No, go away, I’m not breaking any laws.” She says he must obey so she can be safe and he tells her to go away and she will be more safe than harassing him. She persists and tries to pull his hand out of his pocket. He backs away and yells, “Stop assaulting me! Charge me with a crime or go away.” There’s some more argument back and forth and he asks for her supervisor. A big fat cop eventually shows up and the first words out of his mouth are, “Take your hands out of your pockets.” The guy again refuses and the cop starts demanding identification. The guy asks what crime he is suspected of committing and the “supervisor” says nobody said anything about committing a crime. So the guy says, again, “Then go away and stop harassing me.” The video ends there, but by the end there are three cop cars and four cops hovering around this guy standing on a public sidewalk with a cellphone in one hand and his other hand in his pocket.
