A fair sized hawk just landed on our sun roof and peered down at #Polly the cat while she bathed herself in Tracey’s chair. It flew off as soon it noticed me. The cat never realized that only the thickness of a pane of glass separated her from being lunch.

Tracey returned home last evening and our world is right again. The critters, #Louie and #Polly, were especially glad to see her home as they don’t think I pay enough attention to them.

Louie is going to the vet today to have his teeth cleaned and some bad teeth removed. I suspect he is going to have a very bad, no good day. And when he comes home he will probably blame me.

Tracey retrieved #Louie the dog from the vet yesterday afternoon. He was all shaved down for the summer, his nails trimmed and several teeth removed. He was still a little dazed from the anesthesia but very glad to be home again.

#Polly, the cat acted like it was no big deal yet just hours earlier she had been wandering the house looking for him.

We had about an hour of panic yesterday. #Polly the cat is usually ready for breakfast by 6:30 every morning and when we hadn’t seen her by 8 a.m. we decided to go looking for her. We couldn’t find her in the trailer anywhere and thought she must have snuck out the door when either Tracey or I had gone outside.

A hunt for her ensued with Tracey walking around the trailer and me driving around the trailer park looking for her.

After about an hour I had returned home and was standing in the kitchen when she came sauntering around the corner and sat down in front of me. We have no idea where she might have been hiding but were very relieved she was never lost in the first place.

We had some panic last evening when I discovered I didn’t know where Louie’s food is stored. It has been awhile since I’ve fed the dog and Tracey moved his food to a new cabinet. #Louie the dog and #Polly the cat followed me around looking very concerned while I looked for the dog food.

I sent a text message to Tracey and she told me where to find it. All was well but I’m sure both pets think the old man is not a very reliable stand in for Tracey.

I ordered pizza for supper, being the lazy bachelor last evening.

Tracey worked from home yesterday so we had lunch together.
That was nice.

She has a weekly “Gossip Call” every Friday so I got to eavesdrop on the conversation as she and her coworkers griped, complained and laughed about the current affairs of Fresenius management. It didn’t sound all that different from when I used to do the same with my fellow workers at CAT once upon a time ago.

Tracey is supposed to give allergy medicine to #Polly the cat every other day. She wanted to set up a reminder and we found that isn’t an option on the alarm or calendar functions of our phones.

I finally figured out that if you make a reminder to repeat every two weeks and then do that seven times you get the same result.

Ben’s cat, #Polly, has been under the weather for the past week but she seems to be returning to good health since yesterday. She couldn’t keep any food down most of last week and we were getting quite concerned for her.

It is good to have her back to her old self.

Although we managed to collect most of #Polly the cat’s belongings to deliver with her to Ben —— Tracey continues to find more. We will eventually have a large box full of stuff to mail to Ben for her.

Somewhere along the journey on this day we stopped at a rest area and when I came back from using the facilities Polly cat was lounging in the driver seat. Tracey took some photos and I finally got them off my phone and into this Blog.
