Financier found guilty in Ponzi scheme. On Mar. 6th, a federal jury in Houston convicted financier Allen Stanford of all but one of 14 charges of fraud and obstruction in a $7 billion investment Ponzi scheme. Each fraud count carries a sentence of up to 20 years.
