Tracey and I went out for steak dinner at #RubyTuesday last evening, that was nice. We stuffed ourselves full and then sat around the house the rest of the evening complaining about how we ate too much.

I forgot to mention we stopped for supper yesterday at #RubyTuesday after dropping the Blazer off.

Tracey ordered Fettuccine Alfredo expecting to get the kind with broccoli but got a different dish with peas, mushrooms and other stuff.

The manager happened to be walking by when the dish was served and saw Tracey’s look of bewilderment. He offered to make her what she wanted but she decided to try what they had served —— so the manager took the charge off our bill. Nice! And Tracey ended up liking the different just the same.

One thing I forgot to mention earlier —— Tracey and I stopped at #Avanti for supper on the way home after I picked her up from work. They screwed up my order (there seems to be a recurring theme here?) but they made it right AND took my entire meal off the bill. So we got a free meal at both #RubyTuesday’s and Avanti over the past few weeks, but didn’t get a meal at all from #ChicagoHut. Is it just us? Does everyone have this much trouble with food orders?

Tracey suggested we go to #RubyTuesday for supper last night and it was good until about half way through my steak I busted a filling off one of my lower molars. Between my Mom and I we are really giving the #Dentist some business! I will have to call today and see when I can get in to get it fixed.

Tracey and I went to Mom’s for a while. We went to #RubyTuesday’s for supper where we used another 25% off coupon. We are getting good at snagging these dinner deals. I should say Tracey is —— she is the one who discovered the Ruby Tuesday’s internet site and coupon deals.

We now get emailed coupons from them about every two weeks. Lately it has been 25% off coupons for the entire dinner bill.

Tracey and I went to see the movie R.I.P.D. yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t too bad but pretty silly. It reminded me a lot of the Men In Black movies with a really impossible idea and lots of off the wall action. I was glad I took my ear plug again!

We went to #RubyTuesday afterward for some supper. We had a half price coupon so got steak dinners for a good price. I always tell them I want my steak “medium rare” and then explain it should be closer to rare and bloody. The manager came by and asked me if I like my steak cooked “Pittsburgh Rare” —— I agreed but was only half sure of what he was saying. I Googled it after we got home and I was right.

Tracey and I went to #RubyTuesday for dinner with Mom last evening. I ordered my steak prepared “Pittsburgh Rare” as suggested by the manager the last time I was there. I won’t do that again. It wasn’t seared properly and was just cold and raw in the middle. I ate it anyway but I think I will go back to “Medium Rare” as I don’t like cold, raw steak. I like warm, raw steak!

I had some sweet when I got home —— Tracey had made some sugar-free cupcakes yesterday afternoon. They even had sugar-free frosting! We took a couple over for Mom too.

It was after 6:00 before Tracey got home from Decatur and she said she would like a steak for supper, so we went to #RubyTuesday. That turned out to be a huge disappointment. They didn’t have any steak. Something about their meat shipment was no good and they sent it back. So we had a couple of very expensive hamburgers that were over cooked. I have to say that is probably the most dissatisfied I have been with the place. They are usually very good. It happens I guess.

I took Mom out to supper at #RubyTuesday. We were pestered throughout the entire meal by a couple of flies. I don’t know quite what the etiquette of that situation is but I sure wish the waitress had just gone to get a fly swatter.

It felt like we were eating a picnic outside or something with all the waving them away. I didn’t stay at Mom’s very long because I wanted to see the boys off but Ben had already left by the time I got back home.

Tracey and I decided to meet at the #RubyTuesday in Morton after she got off work yesterday afternoon. I had a coupon! I got caught up in the I-74 road construction and ended driving way out of my way again, but that is another story.

We had a pleasant young man for our waiter and I ordered my favorite meal —— a sirloin steak. I always tell the server the same thing, “I want my steak medium-rare, more rare than medium, hot and bloody.” He chuckled and said they could do that. When my steak arrived it was barely pink in the middle. Dry and chewy. I didn’t say anything because I was hungry and Tracey would have been done eating by the time I got another steak cooked the way I like it. It was edible so I ate it. When I was about two-thirds of the way through with the steak our waiter stopped and bent down to look at my steak. He said, “THAT is not rare! I hate it when they don’t cook it the way I tell them!” (or something very similar to that) He proceeded to tell the manager lady. She came by the table and told me my meal was free since it wasn’t right. So I ate for free AND I still have my coupon. One of those “rare” occasions when I didn’t even have to gripe about something and received recompense!

I snagged a BOGO coupon for #RubyTuesday so Tracey and I braved the stormy weather to go get a free meal. I don’t know which one of us got the free one but both meals were good. We returned home and crashed for the evening. Too full to do anything but stare at the TV.

I fast forwarded past all the news that isn’t news and watched reruns until we went to bed.

I just got an email from #RubyTuesday. Another round of good coupons that we can’t use now that they have closed in Morton.

I unsubscribed from their coupon list and suggested they re-open the store in Morton.
