 In 1942, during World War Two, the Voice of America broadcast its 1st program to Europe, relaying it through the facilities of the British Broadcasting Corp. in London. #VOA
The UAW International asked me to do a two minute spot about the ULP strikes. I wrote a script and submitted it for approval. I actually did it over the telephone from my union office at CAT. I have no idea IF it aired on Voice Of America, but it was supposed to air in Britain. |
