#AmberGuyger
This sentence has become too commonplace. After reading the headline my thought was the officer should have been arrested and charged with murder.

The officer was not immediately identified, and was being placed on administrative leave during the investigation.

Instead she gets a paid vacation without any arrest or charges while her fellow cops try to find a way to mitigate the murder she committed.

Dallas officer enters apartment she mistakes for her own, fatally shoots man inside

Update: 09/07/2020
Eventually the Dallas officer is charged, tried, convicted and jailed. She received a ten year sentence and will probably be out on parole in five years or less. Unless there is an extrajudicial prison intervention.

It also bothers me that she isn’t being charged with murder.
There is no evidence beyond #AmberGuyger saying so that she
“accidentally” went to the wrong door on the wrong floor. She
didn’t accidentally” pull a gun and shoot the unarmed guy.

The conflicting information is piling up. There are photos
circulating that supposedly show the killer cop with the
victim she claims she didn’t know. #AmberGuyger was not on duty
and was not in uniform. I just wish the news media would
investigate and report rather than read the police press releases.

THIS is exactly why #AmberGuyger should have been arrested and interviewed on camera immediately. She has told many stories since she has had time to get with a lawyer and concoct a defense that will absolve her of murder.

I really am surprised by this. I figured the DA would do everything possible to keep the charge at manslaughter. This is one grand jury outcome where I would love to have been a fly-on-the-wall. #AmberGuyger

#AmberGuyger wasn’t crying on the witness stand either. Not a
single tear. I bet she spent hours in front of a mirror for
that performance. Hope she gets life in prison for that murder.

I was surprised she was found guilty. Hell of a statement
about America when you are surprised someone murders a man
in his shorts eating ice cream in his own home —— and a
cop is actually held responsible for his murder.

#AmberGuyger’s teary-eyed mug shot after being found guilty of murder. Not a tear in her eye when sobbing about murdering the man but now she has tears? Perhaps these are real?

This bothered me because I think the judge was biased
to begin with and this seemed to confirm that. Had the
roles been reversed with the exact same scenario I
don’t think the sentence would be the same.

So many people simply refuse to see the racial bias of this trial.

In 2019, a white former Dallas police officer, Amber Renée Guyger, was convicted of murder in the murder shooting death of her black neighbor, Botham Jean; Guyger lied that said she had mistaken his apartment for hers. #BothamJean #AmberGuyger
I still think she deserved life in prison.
