Lots of outrage about the dentist that poached the beloved lion. But I’m also seeing outrage about the outrage. How come more people seem to be upset about a murdered lion than about *Black Lives Matter*? I don’t know how to quantify who or how many are more outraged about this or that —— but I am outraged about both. And I suspect it needn’t be a contest. There is plenty of outrageous stuff going on that we shouldn’t have to limit ourselves or somehow grade the most outrageous.
It all sucks. #CecilTheLion

In 2015, in a case that outraged animal lovers, Zimbabwean police said they were searching for an American who had shot and killed a well known, protected lion known as Cecil during a bow hunt; Walter Palmer, a Minnesota dentist, issued a statement saying he thought everything about his trip was legal. (Officials in Zimbabwe later said Palmer had not broken the country’s hunting laws.) #CecilTheLion
