#ChaseBank
Tracey recently purchased some airplane tickets for a trip she is taking with her sister. I just got an email that says I don’t need to tell them I am traveling. I don’t particularly appreciate them scanning through our purchases and sending emails about our plans. The age of personal privacy seems to have gone right out the window.

Every morning, before I add to the Blog, I check on a few financial things to make sure there are no incorrect charges, new statements, whatever.

This morning I see there is a new statement on our #ChaseBank credit card account and I download the statement PDF. It is now #Password protected. I can’t save the file in my Adobe workbook as I have done since the beginning of time. Ridiculous.

I sent them an irate email asking they either provide the password to my data or get rid of the password altogether. If they won’t do this I will take my business elsewhere.

Followup to #ChaseBank credit card statement idiocy:

I called the 800 number provided and the first person hung up on me when I told her it was NOT a browser problem. She wouldn’t even listen to my explanation that it was an encrypted file problem.

I called again and was passed from one department to another having to retell the details of their problem with each of them. A couple of them actually seemed to understand the problem but had no idea who at the bank would have the answer.

There were three who were too ignorant to understand and refused to listen. They just kept reading me the same gibberish about using a different browser, checking the #Password on my PDF program etc.

The book of answers had to have been written by a simpleton.

After an hour I gave up when I was told they would “report my problem”.

I wrote another email explaining it was “their” problem that they encrypted “my data”. I may have to just get rid of the credit card and go to another bank.
